Zamfara Assembly to accords much priority to sensitive bills

Zamafara State House of Assembly members have said they will continue to accord much priority on sensitive issues and important bills sponsored for public hearing for the betterment of the state.

Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Nasiru Ma’azu Magarya made this known during a Public Hearing on a  bill for a law to Improve Children and Young Persons  Education in the state and to prevent them all forms of  distractions during school hours, which was held at Teachers Training Centre, along bye Pass Gusau.

The Speaker who was represented by the Clark to the House Alhaji Shehu Saidu Anka explained that,the strategy of this hearing will go along way in adding values to the main concept of the bill and will also give clear understanding on how to improve education of  the children in the state.

” Let me assure you that, the leadership of the 6th Assembly in the state will continue to accord much priority to public hearing on every sensitive and important bill such as this with our cardinal objectives of purposeful representation” the Speaker stated.

To show a clear commitment and seriousness in the task of low makers according to him, last week the entire members were  in Kano for three day sensitisation and dialogue meeting aimed at moving the state forward on these issues.

” The House Committee on Basic, Secondary and Non Formal Education which is statutory responsible for the collation of all memoranda oral or written consider each and every input given with the sole aim of reaching safe conclusion towards easy promulgation of this into law”, he added.

He assured that the house will not relent  in it’s efforts untill all relevant laws for proper governance of Zamfara state particular law prohibiting banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping, cultism and all forms of insecurity are  promulgated and pass into law.

While commending the sponsors of the bill in person of Hon Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma for his wenderful development and achievement in the act of the lawmaking, Hon. Nasiru Magarya further urged other members of the Assembly to emulate him in that direction.

Earliar in his remarks, the bill sponsors, Hon. Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma said the main objectives of this public hearing was to allowed society to contributes toward the educational Development of the state.

Hon. Kanoma emphesized that, education is the back bone of any society, no society can developed without education and therefore call on parent to educate their children’s for the crimes to be reduced within the societies.
