Gov. Matawalle,s measures to improve on security challenges in Zamfara state

By : Hon. Ibrahim Dosara

Zamfara state government under the leadership of Hon (Dr) Bello Mohammed Matawalle has in its quest for a lasting solution to the lingering banditry bedevelling the state, undertook extensive and intensive consultations with critical stake holders, including the presidency, top security chiefs, politicians, royal fathers, ulamas and top government functionaries, with a view to coming up with workable lasting solutions to the security challenges facing the state.
After carefull study and selection of urgent plan of action from the wide range of suggestions by the critical stakeholders and in consideration of the security situation on ground, government deemed it imperative to take the stringent measures that will help in curtailing the worsening security challenges in the state.

The government deemed it necessary to take these measures in view of the the values it attaches to human lives and the property of the citizenry. The actions are taken not with any intention of hurting the general public, but to examine the validity or otherwise, of the theories suggested in ending the conflict.

Government is not unaware of the pains the people are going through as a result of this decision, but is also mindful of of it’s basic functions of protecting the lives and property of the people.

The general public is therefore invited to join hands with the government in this latest derive to find permanent solutions to the lingering security facing the state.
The government is also using this medium to call on all the good people of the state to join hands together to fight these monsters, called bandits.

Conflict entrepreneurs and those politicians who are hellbent in causing mayhem on our people, using various means and tactics including their collaborators, particularly some unscrupulous individuals and organisations, comprising some foreign media and blog owners and the all-comers publishers who are employed to destabilise the peaceful co-existence of our peace-loving people, should fear God and desist from such nefarious act to allow the people to enjoy the dividends of democracy the present administration of Gov Matawalle planned to provide.
