Zamfara state Ministry for Social Walfare and Community Development has distributed a wheel chairs, guide canes, elbow crouches, arm crouches, hearing Aids, and walking stickset to over 700 disabled person across the state.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner of the ministry, Hon. Abubakar Zannan Badarawa while delivering his speech during the celebration of World International Disable Day 2021, held at UBE Teachers Training Centre Gusau.
Hon. Zannah who represented Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle said, the aim and objective of the gesture was for advancing disability right and protection of persons with disability well- being among our society.

“Zamfara state under the leadership of his Excellency, Dr Bello Muhammad Matawalle, deem it necessary to join the international world , Nigeria in particular in celebrating the day of disabled by providing them with procade for both male and female, wheel chairs, guide canes, elbow crouches, arm crouches, hearing aids and walking stick set” he informed.
In addition to the continuous monthly allowances being paid to disable leaders in the state, the Hon. Abubakar Zannah further stated that governor Bello also donated Ten (10) number vehicle and Ten (10) million N10,000,000,00 naira for alleviating poverty among the disabled person’s in the state.
In his contributions during the event, a reknow Islamic scholar and executive Chairman, Zamfara state Zakkat and Endowment Board, Malan Abubakar Ibn Sodangi remind Muslims Ummah on the importance of assistance especially to people with special needs as well as orphans, according to him, Almighty Allah promise to redouble rewards for people who assist disabled and orphans.
Sheik Sodangi however advised philanthropist and well to do individuals in the state to redouble their effort by ensuring that orphans, and disabled lives improved.
