ABU Alumni commends Gov. Dauda for appointing Arc.Agigi as SA’s

The appointment of Arc. Ibrahim Musa Agigi as Special Adviser to Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state on Infrastructures and Urban Development has been described as a two steps forward in making Zamfara a great.

Chairman, Zamfara state branch of the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association, Muhammad Mijtaba Isah mni made the declaration while congratulating the appointee.

In a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau, the Chairman stated that, the appointment of Arc. Ibrahim Musa Agigi as Special Adviser by the present administration is a great omen considering his past records of service in the areas of Urban and Regional  planning in the state and beyond

“I have no doubt, with Arc. Ibrahim Musa as Special Adviser on Infrastructures and Urban Development, Zamfara state will favourably compete with other developed states in the areas of infrastructures and Urban development” he reemphasised.

According to him, the entire members of the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association, Zamfara state are happy with recent appointment and used the medium to thanks His Excellency, on behalf of all ABU Alumni members worldwide for the appointment.

While praying for the Special Adviser and the present administration of Dauda Lawal to succeed, Mijtaba Isah however assured them his members commitment to assist in all directions for them to succeed.

In the same vein, the National Deputy President of the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association, Worldwide, Malam Adamu Kontagora in a congratulatory message to the branch commended Governor Dauda Lawal for the appointment.

Malam Kontagora who is vying for the position of Worldwide President of the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association in the forthcoming Annual General Assembly slated to hold on 28th September, 2023 has assured Governor Dauda Lawal the appointee commitments to contribute in making Zanfara developed. 

Zamfara Gov. to partner with FG on Gusau – Funtua roads construction

In an effort to provide infrastructural development in the state, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state said his government is to partner with Federal Ministry of Works on projects that have direct bearing to the lives of people of the state.

Speaking during a courtesy visit paid to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Mamuda Mamman in his office Abuja in a statement issued to newsmen by the Director General Media and Communication, office of the Executive governor, Malam Nuhu Salihu Anka quote Governor Lawal soliciting for a working relationship with the ministry particularly in the areas of roads and housing constructions in order to bring a positive changes that will torch the lives of people positively across the state. 

Some of the requests made by the state Governor to the Permanent Secretary during the official engagement according to the statement was the request for the immediate contract awards for the dualization of Gusau – Futua – Zaria road for economic development of the state.

While thanking the management of the ministry for the warm reception accorded to the state Governor’s entourage during the visit, the statement however assured that the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal is committed to work with the Federal Ministry of Works for the development of Zamfara state.

Earlier in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Mamuda Mamman  congratulates Governor Dauda over his recent election victory in Zamfara state and further assured his Ministry’s readiness to partner with his government on the areas of development particularly in roads construction for the betterment of Zamfara people and it’s neighbouring states.

Some of the personalities accompanied his Excellency during the visits were Hon. Ibrahim Modibbo, Mannir Baba and host of others.

Gov. Dauda leaves for Abuja on 3-day official engagement

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has leaves Gusau, the state capital to Abuja for three (3) day official engagements

In a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Media and Public Affairs, Mustapha Jafaru Kaura stated that while in Abuja, Governor Lawal is expected to meet with President Bola Ahmad Tinubu to discuss on areas of collaborations and strategy on how best to end the insecurity situation bedeviling Zamfara state.  

The statement also stated that Governor Lawal during the official engagement will also attend the National Economic Council meeting and further  expected to seek audience with the top Security agencies to solicits for their support and cooperation with a view to end the security challenges currently affecting the state.

Already according to the statement as part of measures to addressed the resurgence of killings, kidnappings, and wanton destructionsp of innocent people’s properties across the state, Governor Lawal recently held a closed-door meeting with the GOC 8th Division of the Nigerian Army here in Gusau on how to combat the resurgence of this spate of killings and kidnappings of the innocent people in the state.

The statement however informed that the state Governor is expected to return back to Gusau the state capital on Sunday, 18th June, 2023.

Gov. Nasir bids farewell to Kebbi pilgrims, charges them to pray for the nation

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi has urged state intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajj excercise to be of good ambassadors, conduct and character through out their stays in Saudi Arabia.

Governor Nasir gave the advice during a farewell message to the first batch of pilgrims in a ceremony held at the Hajj camp, Birnin Kebbi recently.

“pilgrims from the Kebbi state have been known to be law abiding, we therefore appeal to you to uphold such virtues” he informed.

He accordingly memtioned that this was the first time the incumbent government has organized Hajj excercise and had tried its best to ensure that the airlift operation was carried out from Birnin Kebbi Airport but providence has destined that the excercise would take off from Sokoto Airport.

The Governor however advised the state intending pilgrims to regard these  development as an act of God stating that he would also perform this year’s Hajj together with them to enable him examine areas in needs of improvement.

While urging the state intending pilgrimage to fervently pray for the success of the nation’s leaders bas well as peace and prosperity in the state Governor Nasir Idris however, assured that the present administration under his watch have made all the necessary arrangements for the comfort and welfare of the state pilgrims throughout their stays in Saudi Arabia.

Earliar in his remarks at the ceremony, this year’s Kebbi State Amirul Hajj and former Minister of Internal Affairs, General Muhammadu Magoro, informed the governor that everything has been  put in place to ensure smooth conduct of 2023 Hajj operation.

Already according to him, eighteen medical doctors and appropriate number of Medical staff have been selected to accompany and cater for the health needs of the state pilgrims at Saudi Arabia.

The Amiril Hajj  while averred that fourteen committee have been set up for the exercise however solicited for the cooperation of all the stakeholders for the success of this year’s Hajj excercise at home and Saudi Arabia.

Be honest, Gov. Nasir Idris charges new Kebbi AG

Kebbi state Governor, Dr Nasir Idris has charged the newly appointed state Accountant General, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim Nahaliku to be a trustworthy in discharging his duty.

Speaking while receiving a delegations of Zoramawa and Zabarmawa communities in Kebbi who paid him a thank you visit at Government House, Birnin Kebbi governor Nasir said the charge to new Accountant General became imperative considering the importance of trust in handling finances issues.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Sen. Umar Abubakar Tafida during the event thanked the delegations for the visit and further used the forum  to informed them that the God Almighty that paved way for the success of this administration is the one who selected him to become the Accountant General of the state not by anybody’s wish.

“I urge the new AG to be honest, truthful, sincere and trustworthy in discharging his duties.This office requires dedication, commitment and trust for the state to move forward,” he reemphasised

While congratulating the new state Accountant General for the appointment once again, the deputy governor assured that the present administration would do everything within its power to bring positive development in across the state in all ramifications.

Earliar speaking, the leader of the delegations, Alhaji Abubakar Gari-Malam said they were in Government House to show appreciation for selecting one of their own for the position of state Accountant General.

According to him, the delegations at the visits represented the family, friends and associates of Aminu Zoramawa in view of his good and excellent character worthy of emulation by all.

2023 Hajj: Zamfara pilgrims to enjoy special packages – Mallaha

The Chairman, Zamfara state 2023 Government Delegation, Alhaji Musa .mallaha (Talban Gusau) has assured state intending Pilgrims performing this year’s Hajj excercise his committee determination to give most priority in improving the walfare of intending pilgrims at home and Saudi Arabia.

Speaking during an interactive with newsmen at the Hajj Commission headquarters in Gusau, the Chairman who spoke through the Public Relations Office of the Commission, Bello Musa Sidi Magami stated that all the necessary arrangements concerning the  pilgrimage walfare both at home in Makkah and Madina have been made by the state government for the success of this year’s Hajj exercise.

Already according to him, over 97 percent of the state intending pilgrimage have been air lifted to Saudi Arabia while the remaining pilgrimage will soon be air lifted if their visas are ready.

While commending the state intending pilgrimage for their maturity from inception of the exercise to date Alhaji Musa Mallaha however appeals to them while in the Holy land to abide by rule and regulations governing the Saudia Arabian country and further remains good ambassadors of the state as the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawan would no longer tolerate any misconduct regarding Hajj affairs.

The Chairman however charged intending pilgrimage from the state who deposited their Hajj fares with the Commission from 2020 to 2023 but could not had the opportunity to perform this year’s Hajj to remain calm and assured them that the committee would do everything possible for them to participate in the next 2024 Hajj exercise. 

” I assured you that in Sha Allah, such catagaries of intending Pilgrims will receive special treatment in the 2024 Hajj exercise” he added.

Gov. Dauda paid sympathy visit to Emir of Tsafe, assures to tackles insecurity in Tsafe

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has reiterated his government commitment to tackle banditry and other criminal activities across the state. 

Speaking during a sympathy visit to the emir of Tsafe, HRH.Muhammad Bawa at his Palace in Tsafe over the recent banditry attacks in the area Governor Dauda Lawal while commiserating with the emir and family of the victims of the attacks assured his government commitments on not allowing this coward attacks to happens again.

“I am here today purposely to sympathise with you and entire people of Tsafe local government over the recent cowardly attacks by bandits in the area” he stated.

Governor Dauda while reiterating his administration determination to end banditry activities in the state however informed that the state government is currently working closely with the relevant security agencies to ensure that peace prevails in Zamfara state.

“I and some governors had mate with President Bola Ahmad in Abuja, we brought to his attention the issue of insecurity in Zamfara and it’s neighbouring states and he assured us his total supports and commitment in tackling the menace” he informed.

While reiterating his government determination to address the problem, Governor Dauda Lawal urged the people of Zamfara to be steadfast in prayers and maximum cooperation for peace to prevail in the state.

Earliar in his remarks, the Emir of Tsafe, HRH. Muhammadu Bawa expressed gratitude and applauded Governor Dauda Lawal for this unscheduled visit to empathize with emirate.

“I can’t hide my happiness and that of the people of Tsafe, because this is the first time that a Governor visited to commiserate with us over the attacks by bandits” the emir informed.

The emir used the visits to commends the swift response the emirate got from the security agencies and assured governor Dauda Lawal his emirate determination to support the new government and resolved to provides it’s with all the necessary support to secure Zamfara state.

Gov. Dauda visits NADDC, seeks partnership on youth empowerment

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has assured to collaborate with National Automobile Design and Development Council NADDC Abuja as part of his administration effort to empower and make unemployed youth self reliance in the state.

Speaking during the visits to the headquarters of the council in Abuja, Governor Lawal who was received by the Director General of the council, Mr Jelani Aliyu expressed his administration readiness to partner with the council to empower the teeming unemployed youths of the state with requisite vocational skills for them to be self-reliance.

According to a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Media and Publicity, Suleiman Bala Idris quote governor Dauda saying that the official visits to the NADDC is part of “my resolved to scout for available opportunities that would add value to Zamfara state” and we have identified security, education, agriculture, empowerment, and youth development as the areas of concern.

While commending the management of the council for the warm reception accorded to him and the construction of their training centre in Gusau, Governor Lawal in a statement further assured of his government commitment to provides all necessary support for the smooth take off of the newly constructed an Automotive Training Centre in Gusau, which is yet to be commissioned.

 “My government will provide you with all the necessary support to ensure smooth commissioning and operation of the Center and further look forward to more positive collaborations that would make Zamfara better” governor Dauda reiterated.

Earliar responding the Director General of the NADDC, Mr Jelani Aliyu thanks the delegations for the visits and further expressed gratitude to the governor for giving the council a nod to set a day for the official commissioning of the Automotive Training Centre in Gusau.

“the Automotive Training Center constructed in Gusau comprises equipments for training and repair of mechanical and electrical components that consisted of 4 post lifts, two post lifts, scissors lift, wheel alignment, tire removal, OBDII diagnostic, welding machine, braking testing equipment, drilling machine, and air conditioner testing machine, among others” Jelani explained.

He however assured his office readiness to assist and support the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal in it’s efforts to make youth self reliance across the state.

Zamfara CoS visits water board,order immediate water supply to Gusau

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has oredered his Chief of Staff Hon. Mukhtar Lugga to liase with the management of the state Water Board for immediate supply of water to Gusau and it’s environs.

Speaking during an unscheduled visit to the Water Board by the Chief of Staff Government House, Hon. Mukhtari Lugga in a statement issued to newsmen by the Director General, Media and Communication, Malam Nuhu Salihu Anka stated that the visit is to convey His Excellency’ s matching order of technical and financial support to the water Board.

“His Excellency Dauda Lawal is deeply concerned with the perennial water shortage being faced by the people of Gusau and it’s environs and will in Sha Allah address it ” he stated.

While soliciting for more patience and prayers from the general public, the statement further assured that with this development the pumping and supply of water to some areas of Gusau will soon resume.

You may recalled last week His Excellency, Dauda Lawal as part of his administration commitment to address the lingering water problems in Gusau town and it’s environs had paid unscheduled visit to Gusau Water Barrage and promised to assist in reducing the watwr hardship experianced by the people in the area.

Gov. Dauda appoints Mallaha Chairman, 2023 state Hajj delegation

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has approved the appointment of Musa Mallaha as the Chairman, government delegations for the 2023 hajj exercise. 

In a statement available to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Media and Public Affair, Malam Mustapha Jafaru Kaura stated that the 5- man delegation constituted by the state government are to liase with Zamfara state Pilgrims Welfare Commission for the smooth conduct of this year’s Hajj exercise.

” Your appointment is with immediate effect and with your past experienced and commitment in service to humanity, l have no doubt this year’s Hajj exercise would be hitch free and success” he reemphasised. 

Other members of the delegations appointed according to the statement also includes, former permanent Commissioner of the board, Hon. Kasim Sani Kaura, Abubakr Bargaja Gimmi, Hon. Yahaiya Giwa Maradun while Dr Aliyu Adamu Barmo is to serve as Secretary of the delegation.

While congratulating the delegations for the appointment, the statement further called on this year’s pilgrimage to cooperate with them with a view to discharge their responsibilities in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia effectively.
